With its operations, the Energy Regulatory Commission significantly contributes to the fulfillment of the obligations undertaken with the process for accession of the Republic of North Macedonia to the European Union, through participation in the working group on Chapter 3.15 Energy, where it is responsible for the preparation of the part for sections 3.15.2 Internal Energy Market and 3.15.4 Renewable Energy Sources.

Within this group, there are regular meetings with the Secretariat for European Affairs and the Ministry of Economy, the bylaws required for adoption in the field of the energy market are being prepared, and the achievement of the undertaken commitments for EU integration is updated.
